Decorated overall with stlyised foliated and fluting, the toilet-mirror with bevelled plate and foliate corners, flanked by pilasters and spandrels, the underside inscribed in pencil 'DECEMBER 2 1878 DYER HARPER & DYER 2 NORTHAMPTON ST. ARIEL ROAD, DESIGNED BY MR BLACKBURN MADE BY C J NO.237, the washstand with superstructure decorated with foliate frieze and red painted fluted and zig-zag columns supporting a brass rail above a grey veined white marble top with two frieze drawers, one with pressed metal label marked 'BLYTH & SONS MANUFACTURERS 4 CHISWELL ST. LONDON' and stamped 386 259'
