MAKER'S MARK INDISTINCTLY RUBBED, GENEVA, CIRCA 1780/1800
Oval box, the cover, sides and base engine-turned with polished gold flowers and scrolls interspersed on horizontally reeded ground, the lid centred with an octagonal reserve chased in four-colour gold with an allegory of Love against frosted ground, within green gold husked border on sablé ground, the base centred by a scroll-suspended urn, the frosted borders chased with pink and green gold paisley pattern
