All of typical pendant form with burnished gold-mounts chased with scrolling foliage; one rectangular with rounded corners, set with octagonal bloodstone matrix engraved with a coat-of-arms; another rectangular with rounded corners, set with octagonal bloodstone matrix engraved with initials 'CA' surmounted by a duke's coronet; one oval, set with bloodstone matrix engraved with coronet within motto 'Plus que jamais Argenteau'; one rectangular with rounded corners, set with carnelian matrix engraved with initials 'SCP'
1 in. (25 mm.); 7/8 in. (22 mm.); 1 1/16 in. (27 mm.); 7/8 in. (22 mm.) high, respectively
The arms are those of Mercy-Argenteau. The initials 'CA' are probably for Choiseul and Argenteau. The initials 'SCP' are probably for Schickler Choiseul-Praslin. Georgina Elisabeth Angélina de Schickler (1820-1849) married Edgard Laure Charles Gilbert de Choiseul-Praslin (1806-1887) in 1842. She gave birth to Alix Eugénie Davida Laure de Choiseul-Praslin (1843-1878) the following year. (4)
