With an oil on canvas depicting a huntsman, stag and hounds in a landscape, with a mirror plate below, the reverse with a printed paper label from Christie's catalogue, 20 July 1956, the frame adapted and reduced in size, the painting associated

Viscountess St. Cyres (according to label). Charles Morrison Esq., sold Christie's London, 20 July 1956, lot 151 and by family descent.

Viscount St Cyres (1869-1926), son of the 2nd Earl of Iddesleigh, was married to Dorothy Morrison (d.1936), daughter of the great late Victorian businessman Alfred Morrison. They had no children and this mirror was presumably inherited by her great nephew Charles Morrison (1932-2005), Member of Parliament for Devizes from 1964 until 1992.
