STAMPED 'PERU', FURTHER SIGNED 'HECHO POR BLAS PONCE M.', CIRCA 1959
Shaped circular, the centre repoussé chased with the Royal arms within the Garter motto and below the Royal crown and a further coat-of-arms and an inscription, marked underneath near rim
14 1/8 in. (36 cm.) diam.
The second coat-of-arms are those of the Republic of Peru.

The inscription reads 'MINISTERIO DE EDUCACION PUBLICA DEL PERU A SU A.R. LA DUQUESA DE KENT LIMA FEBRERO 1959'.

Presented to Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968) by the Peruvian Minister of Education on her visit to Lima, Peru as part of her South American tour in 1959.
