Specialist note

T.Cray is an unknown chairmaker (circa 1805). Known chairs are held in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and a set of twelve mahogany dining chairs were sold by Phillips, 29 March 1983, lot 63, stamped T.CRAY. (Ed. G Beard & C.
