Signed Universal, Genève, Aero-Compax, ref. 12508, case no. 799'468, manufactured in 1941
Cal. 287 gilt-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, silvered matte dial, baton numerals, outer red and blue scales calibrated for 9 respectively 180 units, aide mémoire dial with Arabic numerals to 12 o'clock, three subsidiary dials for constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, large circular case, angular lugs, snap on back, crown for the aide mémoire dial in the left band, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed
37 mm. diam.

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Universal Genève, the present watch was manufactured in 1941.

The Aero-Compax, patented by Universal in 1940, was fitted with a fourth subsidiary dial called memento or "aide mémoire", used to memorize the starting time of an operation.
