Cal. 1575 nickel-finished lever movement, 26 jewels, black matte dial, luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds, magnified window for date, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw back, screw down crown, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

With Rolex Garantie et Attestation de Chronomètre Officiel dated 29 September 1979, L'Heure Franco-Suisse Lyon Garantie dated the same day, fitted green presentation box and outer packaging.

The present reference 1680 is a typical representative of Rolex's late 1970s production, still featuring the matte dial without the white gold borders to the luminous numerals. Its homogenically bleached bezel now displays a rich grey tone, rendering it a very appealing look.
