Upper watch cal. MJ 1948.01 nickel-finished lever movement, 19 jewels, three-tone grey dial, Arabic and baton numerals, three eccentric dials for subsidiary seconds, power reserve, date and moon phases, circular case, eccentric crown and calendar corrector in the ribbed band, display back secured by six screws; lower watch cal. MJ 1948.02 nickel-finished lever movement, 21 jewels, sunk eccentric two-tone grey second time zone dial, Arabic and dot numerals, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes and 60 seconds registers, set in genuine slate rock from the Swiss alps, large circular brushed case, chronograph button in the eccentric crown, glazed display back secured by five screws; the two cases sliding apart when depressing the release button in the hinge, 18K white gold Michel Jordi hidden clasp, both cases, dials and movements signed

Specialist note

With Michel Jordi Certificate of Authentification and instructions manual, original fitted wooden trunk-form presentation box, glass presentation stand representing a block of ice, cushion with Swiss emblem, secret drawer containing a slate and metal magnifying glass, blank International Guarantee, brochure, spare leather strap and changing tool, and outer packaging.

Launched in 2004 and made in a limited edition of 99 examples in white gold and 99 examples in pink gold, the "twins" is the first watch with a double case. Fitted with an innovating revolutionary "Twist-Lock" system, the two watches are one on top of the other, and sliding over the other, opening like a fan.
