FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a total of eighty five panels, each square panel decorated with a star-shaped and octagon pattern, arranged around a central panel inlaid with geometric motifs and centred by a star
Each of the 70 panels: 26½ in. (67 cm.) square;
the central panel: 52½ in. (134 cm.) square;
each of the 14 half panels: 13¼ x 26 in. (33.5 x 67 cm.)

Specialist note

A virtually identical parquet floor is in the Studio del duca d'Aosta in the Museo Storico del Castello di Miramare, Trieste (ill. R. Fabiani, Museo Storico del Castello di Miramare, re-ed 2009, p. 42).
