The pagoda cresting above a symmetrical Chinese fret-carved back and arms and a padded seat upholstered in yellow cotton covers, on panelled, chamfered square legs

Specialist note

The chairs, fretted in the George III 'Chinese' manner, replicate chairs supplied in the eighteenth century to Badminton House, Gloucestershire, and japanned black and gold in the nineteenth century.
