The triple reeded top above four long drawers flanked by four short and one frieze drawer above a hinged door panelled with three faux drawer fronts, the top drawer stamped EDWARDS & ROBRETS, with ivorine label to reverse EDWARDS & ROBERTS, 126 WARDOUR STREET, PICCADILLY, 532 OXFORD STREET, LONDON

Specialist note

Edwards and Roberts were established in 1845 and were trading as 'Edwards and Roberts 21 Wardour Street, Antique and Modern cabinet makers and importers of ancient furniture' by 1854. They were well known for high quality furniture that revived styles of earlier epochs, especially that of the late 18th century.
