Each of flattened long tapering form, with a slight curve to the length of the sceptre, ranging from pale beige to brown tones
20½ in. (52 cm.) long max. (3)

Specialist note

Hu were carried by Chinese court officials and dignitaries and were held in front of the face as they bowed in the presence of the Emperor.
