Specialist note
Introduced in 2000 in a limited edition of 500 pieces in rose gold, the Reverso Quantième Perpétuel was the final rose gold large-size Reverso with complications produced before the line was redesigned. The Reverso was originally designed as a watch for polo players and has become Jaeger LeCoultre's best-selling model. The reverse side of the dial contained a steel panel that would protect the dial and crystal of the watch during a polo match. The idea was conceived by Swiss traveler Cesar de Trey in 1930, and production began in 1931.
