'AFTERTHOUGHT', A POLISHED ALUMINIUM ARMCHAIR BY RON ARAD, FOR THE GALLERY MOURMANS, UNIQUE PIECE, 2007
'Afterthought' is one of the last pieces designed by Ron Arad in 2007. It is inspired from the preceding model, 'Southern Hemisphere', demonstrating the artist's exploration into the boundaries between furniture and sculpture. The model was executed in three examples, each slightly different in matter or design and hence each unique: the second in patinated steel and bronze, the third in polished steel with red interior

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT payable at 19.6% (5.5% for books) will be added to the buyer’s premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis Artist's Resale Right ("droit de Suite"). If the Artist's Resale Right Regulations 2006 apply to this lot, the buyer also agrees to pay us an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those Regulations, and we undertake to the buyer to pay such amount to the artist's collection agent.

'Afterthought' is executed in four examples, each slightly different, thus unique, and not in three examples as indicated in the catalogue. The bibliographical reference pertains to one of the three other examples than the one offered here
Dimensions are : Height : 67 3/4 in. ; Width : 62 5/8 in. ; Depth : 65 3/8 in.
