signed and indistinctly inscribed 'A. Rodin c by Musée Rodin' (on the front) and inscribed with foundry mark 'Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris' (on the back); with raised signature 'A. Rodin' (on the underside)

Conceived in 1888; this bronze version cast in 1951
