Barrett: gilt-finished two train verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, diamond endstone, en passant hour, quarter and half hour striking on one hammer onto a bell, metal dust cap, white enamel regulator-style dial, outer Arabic seconds divisions, independent centre seconds hand, four subsidiary dials for time, month and lunar calendar, date and strike/silent, circular engraved and floral decorated case and pierced band, similarly decorated pierced outer case with pearl-set bezel, the reverse set with a later blue glass plate, superimposed white and blue enamel ring, pearl-set border, movement and dust cap signed; Van der Cloesen: gilt-finished three train verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, hour, half hour and alarm striking on one hammer onto a bell, silver dial, Roman numerals, single hand, inner gilt alarm disk with central alarm hand, heavy circular case with engraved and pierced floral decorated band, silver, later green textile and pinwork decorated outer case, movement signed
