mezzotint with roulette and engraving, a good, atmospheric impression, trimmed inside the platemark but outside the subject, minor defects at the sheet edges on the reverse where previously mounted, generally in good condition
S. 210 x 165 mm.

Specialist note

The present composition, a reduced-scale version of the previous lot, was engraved by Liotard for inclusion in his treatise Du Clair-obscur, published in 1781.
