David Carr (1915-1968)

Carr's father was chairman of the family-run biscuit factory in Bermondsey, South London. Carr worked at this factory briefly before reading history at Oxford, but the factory featured frequently in his work. He would visit regularly recording his observations and transferring them to canvas.
