Specialist note

Olga was introduced to Enid Starkie by the poet Robert Graves. Starkie was an Oxford academic and author of many books on French literature. They shared a great love of France. Enid Starkie was a regular visitor to Hinton Manor and when she died she left this painting to Olga.
