Specialist note
The panel of blue-grey hezagonal tiles with central inset pieces of mirror was made by the artist's son, Quentin Bell, for some decorative purpose at Charleston but appears not to have been installed. It is shown here on a table leaning against a wall in Vanessa Bell's top studio at Charleston. The roses from the garden are in a mug also made by Quentin Bell.
