Lapin, 'The Translation of the inscriptions on the Historical Monuments in the City of Samarkand', all laid in the original red cloth portfolio with flaps, the upper side titled in gilt within a black and gilt frame, lined with white moiré-style paper, stamped on each card

Specialist note

The only other copies we located are at the Bibliothèque de Genève (20 prints only) and at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (24 prints only), both with substantially fewer images than in this copy.
