Cal. 19''' gilt-finished lever movement, 20 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, five minute repeating on two hammers onto two gongs, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, four subsidiary dials for moon phase and lunar calendar, constant seconds and day, month and date, circular plain case, engraved initials JBV to the back, repeating slide in the ribbed band, case stamped and numbered, cuvette numbered, dial signed by retailer and numbered, movement signed by maker and retailer and numbered

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with engraved initials JBV on the back in 1872 and its subsequent sale on 3 July 1873.

Early five minute repeating perpetual calendar watches are exceedingly rare. The present watch is believed to be one of only seven of such watches to appear in public to date.
