Cal. 240 Q nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 27 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, 22K gold micro-rotor, silvered matte dial, applied white gold baton numerals, white gold dauphine hands, three subsidiary dials for day and 24 hour display, month and leap year, moon phases and date, circular case, snap on back, platinum Patek Philippe deployant clasp, case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer

Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin confirming Tiffany & Co. as authorized Patek Philippe retailer. Furthermore delivered with white gold and wooden setting pin, wooden presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch is in as good as new condition and is furthermore believed to be the only example of a reference 3940 in platinum retailed by Tiffany to appear in public to date.

Reference 3940 was launched in 1985 and in production until 2006. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 292-293.
