More Information
Specialist note
A note accompanying this teapot states that it formerly belonged to Sara Barnard, the wife of Michael Faraday, the celebrated scientist known as 'The Father of Electricity.' As the couple had no children, the teapot passed to Faraday's brother-in-law, George Edward Barnard, who came from the family of famous silversmiths.
