The first small and rectangular decorated with ducks in a stream by a cedar tree rendered in inlaid iridescent shell, gold hiramaki-e and gold and black togidashi with hirame embellishments, the interior with a removable shallow case lacquered in fundame and roiro-nuri, with an ivory manju netsuke pierce-carved with ducks and cherry blossoms on a stream, inscribed Sumida; the second designed in gold, silver and black takamaki-e, hirame and aogai with Japanese warriors repelling the invading Mongols, Raijin, the god of thunder, striking his thunder drums on a cloud above the Japanese forces, with a glass bead ojime and a lacquer netsuke designed as a Mongol helmet, illegibly signed ...so
