The outer sleeve designed with shaped apertures and decorated with lozenge patterns in inlaid shell, edges fundame, the cases roiro-nuri with Jurojin holding a staff and a fan, and a crane by a young pine tree, all rendered in gold and silver togidashi and inlaid iridescent shell, interior cases nashiji; with a fan-shaped lacquer ojime and a cloud-shaped hako netsuke, both decorated with florets in inlaid iridescent shell
