There was heavy rain in winter and hardly any frost in spring except for a mild frost on April 15th and May 1st. This was followed by little rainfall in the months of April, May and June however in July there were 45.5 litres. From flowering the predominant wind was from the north east. Some light rain fell at the end of September. On October 11th, there was a change of direction to very warm winds coming from the southwest which resulted in rapid and intense concentration of sugars
Tasting Note: Complex aroma on the nose with an initial note of balsamic. Intense dark colour with a narrow reddish rim. On the palate it is smooth, with noticeable tannic grip. Flavours of toasted sugar with persistent finish
