Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Lot 138 bottle no 000 967. Bin-soiled, damp-stained and very slightly damaged label. Level very top-shoulder. Lot 139 bottle no. 055148. J. Harvey slip label. Corroded and damaged capsule. Damp-stained label. Level upper-shoulder. Lot 140 bottle no 000 882. Slightly corroded capsule. Very damp-stained and bin-soiled label. Level upper-shoulder
Tasting Note: Most recently: glorious, deep, velvety appearance, still with youthful plummy colour; at first sniff, almost a 'clone' of the '45, spicy, whiff of tobacco. Fairly sweet, very spicy, crisp, great length, dry finish. Delicious. Dramatic but not overdone. Last tasted Nov 2005 ***** Time in hand. M.B.
