Calibre 18 3/4''', gilt frosted lever movement, Earnshaw balance, minute repeating on two gongs, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, small seconds, gold hands, seed pearl-set bezel, the case with engraved decorative band, the back with a delicately painted scene of a young gentleman courting an elegant damsel, both in period costumes, set within a tranquil country setting, blue guilloched enamel border, bezel set with seed pearls, minute repeating activated by a slide in the band, case numbered

The "triple stroke", a somewhat unusual setup in the construction of striking mechanisms in repeating watches, refers to the quarter repetition pattern where the quarter is chimed not simply as the common "ding - dong" but "ding - dong - ding". This mechanism is achieved by two sound springs and three extra teeth which enable the first striking hammer to chime the additional "ding".
