Featherbanded overall, the shaped cornice with lozenge mirrored panel above two arched mirrored bevelled doors enclosing a fitted grained interior with shelves, pigeon-holes, divisions and drawers, above two dished candle-slides and a fall-front with a green baize writing-surface, with a fitted interior with pigeon-holes and drawers surrounding a central drawer, two drawers inscribed in ink to the inside 'NO. 252' and 'FR. 952', the lower section with four graduated drawers, on later oak front bun feet, the rear bun feet in elm and possibly original, the metalwork probably original
