Lot 29 A l'instar de la majeure partie des pièces en méthacrylate créées par Gino Marotta, les animaux qu'il réalise sont réinventés de par leur matériau et leur couleur. Ils illustrent la quête de l'artiste pour un nouveau monde poétique. En les organisant comme des installations, Marotta conçoit des espaces imaginaires naturels composés d'animaux et d'arbres transparents grandeur nature, évocateurs de grands jouets ou de trophées de chasse. Son oeuvre comporte toujours la mémoire, voire la nostalgie de la véritable nature, dont il interroge sans cesse la possibilité en regard du monde urbain. La Riserva Caccia (réserve de jeu), 1970, présente un vrai zoo avec des animaux de safari tandis qu' Oasi, 1966-1969, révèle une installation composée d'une autruche géante 'Struzzo Artificiale' (lot 29) au milieu d'arbres

By combining them in installations the artist assembled imaginary natural spaces of life-size transparent animals and trees that almost seem large toys or hunting trophies. In this way, Marotta's work always holds a memory, or better nostalgia, for true nature, questionning its possibility in confrontation with the urban world.
The "Riserva de Caccia" (game reserve) of 1970 presented a real zoo of safari animals, where "Oasi" (1966-1969) was an installation composed of trees and the giant ostrich "Struzzo Artificiale" (lot 29)
