NADJA TILLER
Born in 1929 into a theatrical family, Nadja Tiller began her career in modelling, winning the Miss Austria title in 1949. This opened the door for the young beauty queen into filmmaking where she would prove herself as a glamorous actress and a favourite of the art-house crowd. Nadja met her husband, the actor Walter Giller, early in her acting career, and by the end of the 1950s, following her international breakthrough in 1958 with the German film 'the Girl Rosmarie', she had become one of the most famous actresses in Germany. She also worked in the UK, France and Italy, where, in 1962, she filmed 'Anima Nera' with the famous Italian director Roberto Rossellini. Her movie career spanned the 50s, 60s and into the 70s, including other such hits as 'Portrait of a Sinner' (1961) and 'And So To Bed' (1965). Currently, Mrs Tiller is still working and living in between Germany and Switzerland.
