Inscribed (?) 'Le Grand Seigneur Robert' (1) and 'Le Maitre a danser Robert' (2)

Together with a German early 17th Century drawing of six designs for elaborate costumes

Specialist note

Similar to costumes designed for the famous bal masqué at Versailles in 1745, on the occasion of the wedding of the Dauphin to Marie-Thérèse of Spain.
An attribution to Paul-Ponce-Antoine Robert (1686-1733) should be considered.
