Leaf-shaped and decorated with a coat-of-arms of the Earl of Donegal, surmounted by a coronet and crane, flanked by two rampant lions and inscribed with the motto INVITUM SEQUITUR HONOS, encircled by sprays of flowers and a gilt chain along the rim
15¾ in. (40 cm.) long
Made for Arthur Chichester, 4th Earl of Donegal, born March 1695, died without an heir in 1757 and was succeeded by his nephew.
