Cal. 727 nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the black dial with applied silvered baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, three subsidiary silvered engine-turned dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with black bezel calibrated to 200 units per hour, screw back and screw down crown, two round screw down chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and clasp stamped 4.70, case, dial and movement signed
37 mm. diam.

Specialist note

The present watch is an extremely fine and rare example of the celebrated Daytona reference 6263 featuring a brown-coloured dial which over the years has changed from black to a warm chocolate brown. The watch is furthermore preserved in very good original condition.

Reference 6263 was introduced into the market in 1971. Different versions of the model are described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 328 - 335.
