Signed Omega, Speedmaster Professional, ref. ST 145.022, movement no. 31'615'196, manufactured in 1973
Cal. 861 copper-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, metal dust cap, the black dial with luminous baton numerals, luminous baton hands, three engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, in large tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with downturned fluted lugs, black bezel calibrated for decimal scale, the screw back with engraved inlaid black enamel inscription FLIGHT-QUALIFIED BY NASA FOR ALL MANNED SPACE MISSIONS - THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON, two round chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Omega link, the clasp stamped 4.71 and ref. 1039, case, dial and movement signed
42 mm. diam.

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Montres Omega, the present watch was sold to the US on 21 June 1973.

Reference ST 145.022 was launched in 1969 and fitted with the new dial with the painted Omega logo instead of the applied version. The particularity of the present watch however is its bezel, calibrated for the decimetre scale as opposed to the common tachymetre or telemetre version, and its very good, original overall condition, still retaining the contemporary bracelet dated 4.71.
