Cal. 12'''120 nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, swan neck regulator, the black matte dial with pink printing and applied pink gold square-shaped and baton numerals, subsidiary seconds, in circular stainless steel case with enlarged bezel, snap on back, stepped hooded lugs, case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer

Specialist note

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with black dial and raised gold hour markers in 1940 and its subsequent sale on 12 October 1940.

Reference 544 was in production from around 1938 until the late 1940s and available in yellow or pink gold, stainless steel or stainless steel and gold. The present watch is one of only 6 examples of this reference in stainless steel and furthermore the only one with black dial and retailer's signature.
