Accompanied by Rolex Service Guarantee dated 19 January 1996, original 1970s Guarantee form, booklet, presentation box and outer packaging.
The present owner purchased this watch from W G Webber Ltd, 58 High Street, Chelmsford around 1980/1981. At the time the watch was supplied with a Guarantee mistakenly made out for a reference 6265/0 as well as the wrong presentation box. The client did not realize this error until having the watch serviced by Rolex in 1996 upon which he received the Service Guarantee form. Since then the watch has never been worn again, the movement however occasionally wound. The present owner furthermore confirms that around a year before the service the bracelet broke and that due to a shortage of Rolex parts at the time, the "Tudor" clasp currently on the bracelet was added instead.
Never been offered in public before and preserved in outstanding original overall condition especially in regard to the dial, this watch represents a highly recommendable collector's item.
