With gilt-finished lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, black matte dial with luminescent Arabic and triangular numerals, luminescent hands, inner ring for 12 hours and outer ring for minutes/seconds, large circular case engraved on the band F1 23883, movement signed, case and movement numbered
55mm diam.

Specialist note

Circa 1937 the German airforce began fitting their watches with a panel to indicate manufacturer, serial number, and an "F1" number. From 1941 onwards all watches were assigned coded indications so as to hide the identity of the manufacturer in addition to the number of pieces each was producing.
