Specialist note

Newton has explained how 'The Naked and Dressed [series] presented probably the biggest technical problems...there was a considerable time lag between the two versions. I had to match the exact movement of the model to each version with the help of many Polaroids.' (Pages from the Glossies, p. 422)

The 'dressed' version of this diptych shows the models wearing clothes by (left to right): Emmanuelle Khahn, Karl Lagerfeld for Chloé, Angelo Tarlazzi, and Fournier.
