the complete set of ten etchings and the frontispiece by Abraham Bosse, 1635, very good impressions of the final, published states with the text below, trimmed on or just outside the platemarks, retaining fillets of blank paper outside the borderlines, some pale foxing in places, otherwise in very good condition

Specialist note

This was the last series of prints Callot embarked upon and it was to remain fragmentary. By the time of his death in 1635 he had only completed the present ten plates and it was his friend Abraham Bosse who engraved the title plate for the publication of the incomplete set.
