A Blue and White Porcelain Jar
Choson period (19th century)
Of high-shouldered ovoid form and with tall upright neck, decorated in medium and light washes of underglaze blue with a four-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl amidst clusters and scallops of clouds, the cloud clusters repeated on the neck between blue lines, which are also painted above the inset foot rim, the vessel applied with a glossy transparent glaze with blue hue
