With a moulded leatherette lined top above a panelled frieze with three drawers and with brass grille doors to the front and sides, those on the front with posting holes and flanked by tapering facetted pilasters with brass bases, the reverse with open shelves, formerly but probably not orginallly with a extension leaf to the right side of the desk top, the locks stamped 'CARTER & AYNSLEY LONDON', castors detatched
