A SET OF THREE REGENCY GREEN-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT ARMCHAIRS
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Each with an arched reeded top rail and a pierced horizontal splat centred by a lion mask, the chanelled scrolled arms with lion paw supports and with a caned seat and loose cushion on tapering turned and spiral carved legs, one toprail detatched, stamped to the undersides 'SG' (3)

Specialist note

A number of chairs from the early 19th century are recorded as bearing the stamp SG, including a pair sold at Christie's, London, 12 October 1994, lot 73.
