Ballynegall House in County Westmeath was built for James Gibbons in 1808 and designed by Francis Johnston. The contents were removed in 1981 and the house is now in ruins (The Knight of Glin, David Griffin & Nicholas Robinson, Vanishing Country Houses of Ireland, Dublin, 1988, p. 141).
