Of large size, comprising two D-ends above a long extending mechanism, on lotus-lappeted turned legs joined by cross stretchers, with recessed castors

143 in. (363 cm.) long when the mechanism is fully extended

By repute Ballynegall House, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland.

Specialist note

Ballynegall House in County Westmeath was built for James Gibbons in 1808 and designed by Francis Johnston. The contents were removed in 1981 and the house is now in ruins (The Knight of Glin, David Griffin & Nicholas Robinson, Vanishing Country Houses of Ireland, Dublin, 1988, p. 141).
