Tasting Note: Once the darling of traditional English wine merchants and losing its grip in the 1960s. For some time now formidably good but not as fashionable as Montrose or Cos. Good colour but not opaque; sweet fruit, whiff of strawberry; very sweet, full of fruit, laden with tannin - as all good St. Estèphes should be, and delicious. An outstanding Calon. (*****) 2015 - 2030.
