The rectangular bevelled plate within a crossgrained surround and with boldly reeded uprights and panelled stretcher, the reeded sabre legs with brass capped casters, paper label to the reverse, 'Kearney's LOOKING-GLASS WARE-HOUSE No 49 Henry St Dublin', one ball finnial missing.

Specialist note

Joshua Kearney, carver, gilder and looking glass maker to His Majesty, was manufacturing at 49 Henry Street between 1804 and 1819. Another cheval mirror bearing Kearney's label was sold Christie's, London, 24 November, 2004, lot 439.
