Hollow carved with turned head and paddle tail, with good paint detail
Original paint protected by an old coat of varnish, very minor wear, small chip in end of tail
17¼ in. long

Specialist note

Believed to have been made by a member of the Scholer family, carpenters who built the famous "Swiss House" overlooking the Mississippi River in Burlington
