BY WRIGHT AND MANSFIELD, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
With a red leather lined top above a blind fret carved frieze of interlaced strapwork and qutrefoils and with similar stiles, one side with five drawers, the other with false drawers in the frieze and two deep drawers below on foliate carved cabriole legs with claw and ball feet, stamped 'WRIGHT & MANSFIELD 104 BOND ST' and also 'WRIGHT AND MANSFIELD'

Specialist note

Wright and Mansfield were one of the leading interior decorators of the late 19th century. They exhibited widely, including at the Great Exhibition of 1862 and the Paris Exposition of 1867. The company ceased trading in 1887.
